Diana Danelys De Los Santos, known professionally as, Amara la Negra, is a Dominican-American multi-talented artist born in Miami, Florida.
Diana has always known that she was destined for great things. As a matter of fact, her first word as a baby was “artista” which means artist in Spanish. De Los Santos began her career at the tender age of four years old when she took the stage at a school festival. She later become a regular cast member on the highly rated Univision program for six years.
Diana began to make a name for herself in the industry and started doing commercials for important brands such as Hawaiian Punch, Oscar Mayer, Walt Disney World.
In her teenage years, she joined an all girl group named, Amara. The group eventually split up and Diana decided to keep the name and add “La Negra” meaning “the black girl” in Spanish, after being repeatedly asked, “Who is the black girl in the group?”
